Ditch the frustration and learn Photoshop the smart way.
Most beginners waste years jumping between random tutorials and guessing their way through Photoshop. This course shows you exactly what to focus on, what to ignore, and how to build real, professional-level skills step by step.
Does this sound like you?
You have an idea, but struggle to create it.
You know what you want to make, but turning that idea into a finished design feels messy and frustrating. This course shows you how to break ideas down, and turn rough concepts into polished visuals without guessing.
You want to create professional-level designs.
Instead of relying on random tools or trial and error, you’ll learn the core skills and workflows professionals actually use. That means cleaner work, better results, and designs you fully understand and can confidently refine.
You want to confidently make creative decisions.
Good design isn’t about knowing every feature - it’s about knowing what to do next. You’ll learn how to make confident creative choices so your work feels intentional, consistent, and professionally finished.
It took me years to realise the problem wasn't me, it was how I was learning Photoshop.
I remember spending hours in Photoshop as a teenager, messing around in my bedroom, just having fun. It was the first design software I ever used, and I absolutely loved it. But like most beginners, I had no idea what I was doing. I made every rookie mistake in the book - and the worst part is, I carried a lot of those bad habits with me for years, even throughout my career.
I always just did things the way I’d learned early on. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until much later, after getting back into Photoshop properly, that I realised how powerful it really is when you actually use the right tools. You don’t need to be an artist or know everything (goodness have you seen me draw?!), just a sound understanding of the right tools and some proven techniques can take your work to a whole new level.
To add another layer of complexity to everything, there's so many different ways to do the same thing in Photoshop. So how you know which one to do, which tool or technique yields a better result, and why?
Well, this is one of the main reasons why I created Photoshop Like a Pro. It’s a clear, easy-to-follow course that helps you skip all the years of trial and error and jump straight into creating amazing design work - with less effort, less frustration, and much better results.
Photoshop was my first love, but it took me years to truly understand it.

The 8 essential steps to learn Photoshop like a pro.
Step 1
Retouch and edit photos like a professional.
Learn how professional designers retouch photos without destroying detail or making images look fake. You’ll work with non-destructive techniques to clean up images, correct colour, refine lighting, and make photos feel polished, natural, and believable - whether you’re working on portraits, products, or lifestyle imagery.
Step 2
Create realistic photo manipulations and composites.
Go far beyond basic editing and learn how to combine multiple images into a single, convincing final piece. You’ll master perspective, colour matching, lighting, shadows, and atmosphere so your composites feel cohesive and realistic - not like obvious cut-and-paste jobs.
Step 3
Design with typography, not just fonts.
Typography is one of the biggest differences between amateur and professional design. You’ll learn how to use type with intention - controlling hierarchy, spacing, alignment, and readability - and how to create strong typographic designs and effects that actually enhance your layouts instead of overpowering them.
Step 4
Design posters, graphics, and real-world assets.
Apply your Photoshop skills to real design projects, not abstract exercises. You’ll design posters, stickers, and graphic assets using proper layouts, composition, and visual balance - the same way professional designers approach real briefs and client work.
Step 5
Design and present work using realistic mockups.
Learn how to present your designs so they look professional, polished, and portfolio-ready. You’ll work with high-end mockups to showcase posters, packaging, screens, and products in realistic environments - helping your work stand out instantly.
Step 6
Design websites and digital graphics in Photoshop.
Understand how designers think when creating website layouts and interfaces. You’ll go from simple wireframes to refined, polished designs while learning spacing systems, layout structure, and visual hierarchy - skills that transfer to any modern design tool.
Step 7
Create depth with 3D and advanced illustrative techniques.
Push Photoshop further by creating depth, realism, and illustrative effects that make your work stand out. You’ll learn designer-friendly 3D and lighting techniques that add impact and dimension - without needing complex 3D software.
Step 8
Work faster with professional workflows and animation.
Finish strong by learning how professionals stay organised, work efficiently, and bring designs to life. You’ll streamline your workflow, automate repetitive tasks, and add simple motion and animation to your designs - making your work feel modern, polished, and future-proof.
